About THe WBRFEG
The Willapa Bay Fisheries Enhancement Group is one of 14 independent community level non-profits created in 1990
to help address declining salmon populations and habitat.
We are passionate about salmon, their future and the fisheries opportunities that these magnificent fish provide to the pacific county communities. Our board is comprised of a unique blend of commercial and sport fishers, land owners and business owners. We strive to create projects that provide measurable benefit to salmon in a cost effective manner.

Pacific County is located in the extreme Southwest corner of Washington State. With a population of little over 20,000 people, this is a place where nature can truely put forth her best effort. Communities are very small and dependent upon fishing, shellfish, timber and various support industries. Salmon have been critical to our communities throughout their existance and we strive to work to preserve that bond. From the ocean shoreline to the river headwaters in the Willapa Hills, this expansive habitat is critical to preserve and restore for the future of salmon and our communities.
Get Involved
The WBRFEG has grown from the work of countless volunteers over many years. Our volunteers serve on our board of directors, work in the field helping with restoration projects and maintaining remote site incubators where salmon are reared for future generations. If you would like to get involved, please contact us to discuss opportunities we may have.
